HOW WE GIVE BACK
We are firm believers in STEM education to create a stronger platform for individuals seeking careers in related fields. We encourage employees to volunteer time at FIRST activities and offer additional support to FRC Team 319, FRC Team 3533 and the FRC GameSense show. Every day we test different products to make sure that we can continually improve and innovate the way we handle cases. Part of this plan is to continually donate our cases to the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, the Dr. Julien Foundation and the Saint Vincent de Paul, Centre d’aide Conférence including local partners. Similarly, during hunger action month every September our employees open their cupboards and donate child-friendly foods and personal care items. For each pound of food donated we provide a $1 contribution to Feeding America to fight against global hunger. The contribution funds are invested in public awareness campaigns and in the BackPack Program.
During every winter holiday season our employees participate sharing gifts outside of their personal families. In Montreal, we collaborate with Opération Père Noël and in Wilmington we support the Giving Tree. Through these programs we have been able to share gifts with local families. Our employees often donate books, art supplies, shoes and clothing. In 2014 we decided to expand our gift donations with a Coat Drive for Kids and were able to collect 42 coats.
Every November our male employees in the Montreal offices proudly grow a moustache in support of Movember to raise Prostate Cancer awareness. During Movember all employees in the Montreal offices are involved in collecting funds for this cause. Last winter, nine of our Montreal employees skied for Tremblant’s 24 hours. The proceeds went directly to helping sick children.
Every year our offices in the United States support United Way by matching employee donations dollar-for-dollar. Since 2015, we were able to support United Way nationwide communities with $84,924.
