What we need
Symbotic is seeking a Warehouse Lead who will serve as the subject matter expert on all facets of warehouse operations, including material handling, shipping, and receiving. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials throughout the facility. As a Lead Warehouse Specialist, you will oversee daily activities, provide guidance to team members, and collaborate with various departments to meet operational goals. You will also play a hands-on role in ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
What we do
The Warehouse team within the Service Center of Excellence is responsible for service, repair, testing, evaluation, and field support. They manage shipping, receiving, and material handling for material in the Symbotic Wilmington location. They primarily focus is on supporting repair and service material needs to support customer service requirements. The warehouse team collaborates closely with other departments to support shipping/receiving needs and to ensure material movement transactions are accurate.
What you’ll do
Lead and develop a team, fostering growth.
Communicate with cross-functional teams and lead problem-solving efforts.
Troubleshoot SAP issues, coordinating with technical experts as needed.
Manually pick small parts and sub-assemblies for repair operations and customer orders.
Execute bin-to-bin transfers using SAP S/4 Hana EWM.
Ensure work accuracy and adherence to production, repair, quality, and safety standards.
Handle UPS shipping transactions for RMA materials and parts needing repair.
Process SAP fulfillment and receiving transactions: Customer Sales Orders, Stock Transfer Orders (STO), and Inbound RMA Sales Orders.
Complete Inbound Deliveries for RMA material transactions.
Use SAP reporting and MS Excel to track KPIs and transactions.
Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks for material transport, replenishment, and stacking up to 46 feet high.
Load/unload bots to/from trailers and storage using pallet jacks and forklifts.
Prepare bots for shipment, record serial numbers, and wrap containers.
Handle shipping/receiving transactions for RMA and repaired bots in SAP.
Coordinate with logistics for truck shipments.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
What you’ll need
High school diploma.
Minium Two years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control and logistics, materials handling, storage layout, and shipping and receiving.
Strong experience in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), with hands-on experience managing transactions for Customer Sales Orders, STOs, Inbound RMA Sales Orders, and Inbound Deliveries.
Proven experience handling UPS shipping transactions for RMA materials and parts requiring repair.
Strong proficiency in SAP reporting and MS Excel to track KPIs and warehouse performance metrics.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a warehouse team.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in processing shipments and SAP transactions.
Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving discrepancies and system-related issues.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment.
Our Environment
There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure. You may be required to routinely walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure.
You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground.
Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
AT times you may be at a construction site with PPE required (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection (e.g., safety harness).
Frequent ability to safely and efficiently lift items weighing up to 50lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs.
Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. Where you may need to be able to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must be capable of occasional and/or continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet. Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.
