What we need 

The Associate Implementation Project Manager supports the delivery of large-scale automation systems at customer sites by helping coordinate cross-functional teams and execution activities. This role works closely with experienced Project Managers and functional leads across engineering, supply chain, installation, commissioning, finance, and operations to keep projects aligned and moving forward. 

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role designed for early-career professionals who are excited to work at the intersection of technology, operations, and customer delivery. You will gain exposure to complex, real-world automation projects while developing strong project execution and stakeholder management skills. 

Remote, travel-based position 75%. The individual in this role will be expected to travel to and work on-site at the project they are managing. Candidates must be located in the Eastern or Central time zones to ensure effective collaboration with on-site and cross-functional teams.

The Project Execution team plays a critical role in bringing Symbotic’s automation solutions to life. We oversee projects from planning to system acceptance, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. Acting as the central connection point between technical teams, stakeholders, and customers, we create clarity, drive accountability, and ensure each project delivers measurable value to our clients and to the business. 

What you’ll do 

  • Support project execution activities across scope, schedule, cost, and quality for large-scale automation projects. 

  • Partner with senior Project Managers and cross-functional teams to coordinate timelines, milestones, and on-site activities. 

  • Assist with tracking project risks, issues, and action items, escalating as needed to keep projects on track. 

  • Participate in cross-functional and customer meetings, helping prepare materials, capture notes, and communicate updates. 

  • Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, installation, and commissioning teams to align execution plans. 

  • Support site readiness activities, including installation planning, logistics coordination, and schedule updates. 

  • Contribute to a culture of clear communication, accountability, and teamwork across internal and external partners. 

 

What you’ll need 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field. 

  • Relevant internship, co-op, or project experience within industries such as: 

  • Robotics or warehouse automation 

  • Manufacturing, industrial engineering, or production environments 

  • Construction management or design/build projects 

  • Coursework or projects related to project management, operations, or systems engineering 

  • Familiarity with schedules, Gantt charts, or basic cost tracking 

  • Interest in developing a long-term career in project management, operations, or large-scale system delivery 

  • Exposure to coordinating work across multiple teams (engineering, operations, suppliers, contractors, or customers). 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal). 

  • Comfort working in Excel, PowerPoint, and project-tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project, or similar). 

  • Willingness to travel up to 75% and work on customer sites as part of project delivery. 

Our environment

  • Remote, field-based position.   

  • Travel is required up to 75% of the time. Employee must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. 

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis. 

  • The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.  

  • The employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 

  • Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $82,000.00 - $113,300.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
