Evan Pennell is Vice President of Product at Symbotic.  He is responsible for shaping the overall product strategy and roadmap and aligning it with the business strategy.  He does this through the development of the holistic system requirements, product strategies and roadmaps, and validation and works to ensure Symbotic has a prioritized set of objectives and executes them successfully. He guides new product development through all stages of the product life cycle, from the identification of customer needs and product definition through development, launch, and then hands it off for sustainment. Evan is highly cross-functional working closely with engineering and business operations teams to ensure that the product specifications are delivered.

Prior to joining Symbotic in 2020, Evan was Vice President of Design and Engineering – Lifestyle, a $3 billion business unit at Flex Ltd., overseeing a global design organization of 150 engineers and scientists.  Evan held various engineering and product management roles over a 24-year period at P&G/Gillette where he led product management of several billion-dollar brands including Venus, Fusion Flexball and multiple emerging market brands.  He led a variety of technical teams responsible for the creation of the next generation Gillette product and equipment platforms and has received 8 production-worthy US patents.

Evan graduated summa cum laude from the University Honors Program at Northeastern with a bachelor’s of science in mechanical engineering.
