Ted Macdonald is Vice President of Mobile Robotics Control at Symbotic. His team is responsible for all layers of control for Symbotic’s autonomous bots, which includes task assignment, bot routing, embedded controls, storage system state and more. Since joining Symbotic in 2011, Ted has served in a variety of engineering and leadership roles, all focused on robotics control.

Prior to Symbotic, he was an was an applications engineer for an automation component distributor. Ted has a master’s in electrical and computer engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Penn State University.
