This leadership role is responsible for establishing safety protocols, ensuring compliance, and embedding a strong safety culture across all Greenbox sites—from construction and automation installation through live operations.

What we do

GreenBox* is pioneering warehousing-as-a-service, offering outsourced warehousing operations, and specializing in automated warehousing solutions. Our focus is on the efficient movement of goods in cases and pallets across all sectors, such as wholesale, retail, and general merchandising.

*GreenBox is an independently managed joint venture between Symbotic and Softbank.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement a company-wide safety program covering warehouse operations, automation systems, and construction phases.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local OSHA and environmental regulations.

  • Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations; drive corrective actions and reporting standards.

  • Build a scalable team of regional and site-based EHS managers to support our growing network.

  • Collaborate with facilities, maintenance, automation, and operations leaders to ensure safe work environments.

  • Create and maintain training programs, emergency response protocols, and ongoing safety education initiatives.

  • Lead environmental compliance efforts related to waste handling, energy use, and environmental risk mitigation.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar credential a plus.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS leadership roles, ideally within logistics, industrial, or manufacturing environments.

  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related regulatory requirements.

  • Proven ability to lead safety initiatives across multiple active sites.

  • Experience building EHS programs from the ground up in high-growth companies.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Our Environment

  • Travel is required up to 50% of the time. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
