What we need 

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team. Your job will be to design and develop pipelines, tools, and integrations to aid in Data Analytics and Report creation. This will enable our team to deliver impactful reports in a fast and scalable way.  
 

What we do 

The Data and Analytics team is part of the Core System Software organization and is all things data for Symbotic, from ingestion to presentation and smart analytics. We are a highly skilled cross functional collaborative team that collects, analyzes, and visualizes data to drive innovation across the company using the latest tools and technologies. One of our many goals is to bring leading visualizations for our customers to assist in understanding the capabilities of their system today and beyond. 

 

What you’ll do 

  • Design and develop Pipelines, Tools, and Integrations to aid in Data Analytics and Report creation. 

  • Maintain and enhance existing Pipelines, Tools, and Integrations. 

  • Be a technical leader of the team. 

  • Troubleshoot system problems in production or design by investigating issues related to product performance or production difficulties. 

  • Demonstrate passion about building high quality software that addresses customer needs, love solving problems and facing new challenges. 

  • Be a proactive communicator who enjoys working closely with creative and technical peers. 

  • Work in a dynamic Agile/Scrum based environment. 

  • Travel to customer sites up to 10%. 

 

What you’ll need 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline required. 

  • Minimum 8 years professional experience developing software applications. 

  • The qualified candidate must have experience with Object Oriented design using C# with Databases (SQL). 

  • The qualified candidate must have experience with Linux and/or Unix-based systems. 

  • Experience with the design, development, and deployment of data acquisition and pipelining solutions for robotics and/or automation equipment such as PLCs is a plus 

  • Hands-on problem solver with excellent software design and implementation skills. 

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and support unscheduled events. 

  • Self-starter and highly motivated. 

  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, etc.) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, etc.) is desirable. 

 

Our Environment  

  • Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. 

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
