Lead all relative aspects of associated fixtures including but not limited to the development of BOMs, associated SolidWorks files, design reviews, prototyping and the hands-on build of said fixtures.
Streamline the prototyping and fixture builds, utilizing your expertise in 3D CAD design, CNC machining, and hands on experience to bring fixtures to fruition.
Coordinate efforts with electrical, software, and other mechanical engineering teams to ensure that fixture designs are optimized and are built to support associated requirements.
Design fixtures that enhance testing efficiency and system performance, troubleshooting and iterating on designs as necessary to meet evolving product requirements.
Create detailed dimensional drawings and specifications for fixtures and prototypes, adhering to GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5). Ensure all designs are documented accurately, including BOMs and necessary Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
Perform and document mechanical analysis of your designs.
Assist in assembling prototypes, testing, troubleshooting, and implementing fixture design changes.
