What we do
The IT Installation Services Team works on customer facing installation projects. We are involved in planning for projects (engineering drawings, BOM, Procurement), integration (consolidation of equipment, rack & stack, configuration), installation (receiving at site, installation, commissioning), troubleshooting, and documentation. Our work ensures our project implementations are on time and on budget and keep IT on the critical path.
What you’ll do
Design and develop wireless communication solutions for robotics products, operating at sites.
Explore future wireless technologies in Wi-Fi and private cellular
Work with partners and vendors to customize technologies specifically for Symbotic
Work with embedded OSs for networking equipment, to better integrate with the Symbotic Software stack.
Design and implement wireless technologies and routing algorithms.
Enhance transmission reliability, using techniques such as QOS, throttling, compression
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate wireless solutions into products.
What you’ll need
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related experience.
Minimum 8 years experience in Cellular Wireless RAN, 5G Private cellular stack testing including a working knowledge CU, DU, BBU and UE configuration and provisioning.
Hands-on experience with embedded OSs for networking equipment. Proficient in Wi-Fi standards (802.11n/ac/ax/be and 802.11r/s/k/v).
Extensive experience in Linux kernel and kernel module development.
Strong knowledge of wireless technologies and routing algorithms.
Expertise in techniques to improve transmission reliability.
Proficient in C and/or C++, as well as Python.
Knowledge of wireless backhaul solutions.
Experience in indoor and outdoor site RF evaluation, simulation, and planning.
Experience deploying Private LTE/5G, CBRS, or 900MHz wireless solutions at large-scale sites.
Experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) platforms.
Experience obtaining FCC certification (or equivalent) for new radio products.
Knowledge of video streaming frameworks and solutions.
Our Environment
Up to 50% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed bi-weekly.
