What we need 

Symbotic is seeking a Quality Technician to join our Quality team. Your job will be to ensure that all products meet Symbotic’s quality standards before they reach the customer. You will achieve this through inspecting and testing products, documenting results, solving problems and identifying root causes, striving for continuous improvement, and collaborating cross functionally across the organization, specifically with but not limited to the production team.    

 

What we do  

The Quality team within the Service Center of Excellence is dedicated to supporting all Quality inspection activities at the Repair Centers. Our primary focus is on ensuring that all repaired bots meet or exceed our Quality standards after repair.  The team works in close collaboration with the Repair and Inspection Techs as well as with other departments as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction upon receipt of all repaired bots. 
 

What you’ll do 

  • Conduct routine inspections of parts and components using basic measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to identify any defects or inconsistencies.  

  • Perform simple functional tests under supervision to verify quality.   

  • Document results of inspections and tests in a standardized format.   

  • Follow established quality procedures and protocols, assisting more experienced technicians as needed.   

  • Collaborate cross-functionally, especially with the production team, to solve problems and drive continuous improvement  

  • Report any obvious defects or deviations to senior technicians or supervisors.  

  • Learn and apply company quality standards and policies.   

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What you’ll need 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or diploma preferred. 

  • Minimum of 1 year in a quality/technical role.  

  • Basic knowledge of quality control principles and measurement tools. 

  • Attention to detail, identifying and addressing operational and process nuances.  

  • Ability to follow instructions and work within set procedures.   

  • Familiarity with methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Robotics, Automation systems, and electro-mechanical components preferred. 

  • Proven ability to thrive in face base, in high-tech manufacturing settings.  

 

Our Environment 

  • Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.   

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed bi-weekly.  

  • Ability to lift and handle components up to 25 lbs.   

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.   

  • Ability to work in front of a computer and perform administrative tasks.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $25.96 - $35.96 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
