The Outbound Cell
The Inbound Cell processes incoming pallets and sends products to the storage structure. The System depalletizes and singulates cases using computer vision for quality control and orientation optimization. Our advanced technology breaks down pallets into small groups of cases to maximize inventory accessibility. Each cell is capable of processing 1,700 cases per hour.
SymBot™ autonomous robots retrieve cases from inbound cells with speed & efficiency. Cases are picked from input buffers by the bots which are intelligently routed to place cases in variable height bays across the storage structure to maximize vertical and horizontal density. The robots move at speeds up to 25 mph, making the process fast and efficient.
As the System receives orders, tasking & routing software plans and sequences the work, orchestrating the optimal picking order and route for the robot fleet to deliver cases in the most efficient manner. Retrieved cases are delivered to the outbound lifts which intelligently sequence them for delivery to the outbound cells where a pair of palletizing robots work in coordination to build pallets designed for shelf stocking efficiency unique to each store location.
Outbound palletization cells efficiently construct maximum density pallets optimized for each store’s needs and designed to minimize transportation cost. Retrieved cases are delivered to the outbound cells where they are intelligently palletized for density and stability at a cell rate of 1,350 cases per hour. Our outbound cell robots build, wrap and label pallets designed for store stocking efficiency unique to each retail location. This is the final step of the fully integrated, end-to-end Symbotic System.
