What we need 

We are looking for an Accounts Manager with experience in project management to join our Accounts team within our Sales organization. You will be responsible for managing the contracts during the implementation and start up phases of our projects. This role will require working closely with the legal and finance teams to process the administrative aspects of the project through change orders and purchase orders. The ideal candidate will be proficient in communicating and interfacing with our customer and implementation teams. Your ability to understand the contracts, schedules and requirements will help this Accounts team thrive. 

 

What we do 

The Accounts Team is part of the Sales organization, which is responsible for developing, negotiating, and executing contracts with strategic customers. Symbotic, at its core, builds strong, long-term relationships with all of our clients and these teams are at the forefront of that effort. 

 

What you’ll do 

  • Partner with the implementation team to understand project statuses and generate executive level project status summaries. 

  • Partner with the operations teams to ensure contractual commitments are being met to adequately staff and ramp up new implementations. 

  • Understand our customer’s business challenges, automation motivations, operational processes, and propose new solutions that deliver improved productivity and value. 

  • Develop and maintain reporting tools that accurately portray program status. 

  • Produce clear and concise executive communication (written, presentation, customer). 

  • Create a robust change order process to easily capture and process out-of-scope changes to schedule and/or requirements. 

  • Study and understand the intricacies of the customer contracts to ensure we are meeting our contractual obligations. 

  • Travel up to 25% of the time. 

 

What you’ll need 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the materials handling industry. 

  • Bachelor’s degree required – project management background is a plus. 

  • This role would be contract focused for all contracted sites in the implementation phase: 

  • Change Order management 

  • Key payment milestone tracking 

  • Acceptance tracking 

  • The key to success of this role would be to translate the contractual requirement into some high-level health status views of all sites (executive level snapshot).  

  • Demonstrated project management experience with cross-functional teams. 

  • Strong presentation skills with the confidence to present to large, executive-level audiences. An ability to present complex concepts to customers with varying backgrounds. 

  • Strong team player, able to work professionally with members of various engineering teams. 

  • Strong critical thinking skills. 

Strong sales and customer service skills and commercial instinct. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work in rapidly changing startup environment. 

  • Automation/warehousing implementation/operational experience. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically Excel and PowerPoint. 

 

Our Environment  

  • Up to 25% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. 

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
