What we need

As the Director, Finance Operations, you will own the budgeting of system deployments, maintain an up-to-date estimate at completion for all active projects, and report the variance analysis to management monthly. This is a highly agile and visible role, communicating to the senior management team and C-Suite. The Director, Finance Operations, will also provide critical insights into matters of business dynamics and other company initiatives.

What we do

The Finance organization is responsible for financial reporting requirements, various weekly and monthly reporting, preparation of Management Review Packages, investor relations support, business forecasting, M&A modeling, and involvement with ad-hoc projects.

 What you'll do

  • Work closely with sales, engineering, and supply chain to update and keep current the system cost model to ensure accuracy, as this will be used by sales to price customer projects. 

  • Partner with the project implementation team, as well as supply chain and others, to maintain accurate estimate at completion forecasts for all active projects. 

  • Develop a strategy to enhance project reporting and increase accuracy. 

  • Prepare and present monthly project reporting packages to senior management and the C-Suite. 

  • Create key variance analysis to augment existing management reporting and proactively drive toward management decisions on projects and sales proposals. 

  • Provide leadership of the roll out of SAP project reporting, including developing internal processes and controls to be implemented company wide. 

  • Collaborate with engineering to develop budgets for new products, from prototype stage through commercialization. 

  • Hold self and others accountable for forecast accuracy, continuous improvement and delivering results. 

  • Manage, train, and develop a team of high performing project analyst professionals. 

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent; master’s degree preferred. 

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in financial analysis and reporting, with minimum 5 years’ experience in project finance. 

  • Experience forecasting and reconciling project costs. 

  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, analytical and abstract reasoning skills.  

  • Strong interpersonal skills - effective business partner and good executive presence. 

  • Ability to work across different functions and multiple levels of the organization, includes the C-Suite. 

  • Strong quantitative and technical / computer skills with significant experience in modeling and analysis. (e.g., three statement modeling, strategic planning, and acquisitions) 

  • Expert proficiency in Excel and prior SAP experience highly preferred. 

  • Willingness to work extended hours on an as-needed basis. 

Our environment

  • Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.   

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed bi-weekly.
