BREAKPACK SOLUTION

Less-Than-Full-Case Distribution

BreakPack can be added to the Symbotic Distribution Solution – allowing full-case and partial-case fulfillment processes to operate together within a single system.

Extended Capability

Distribution Centers Can Do More

BreakPack is added to Symbotic Distribution Solution. Partial case and small quantity fulfillment operations is seamlessly integrated into a single automated system. Large in-store pickup orders can be built before leaving the DC, and slow moving or low quantity SKU fulfillment reduces residual inventory at retail locations.

One System

Full Case and Small Quantity

SymBots retrieve full cases from the Symbotic automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) and deliver them to the BreakPack system. Cases are opened and presented to a worker in an ergonomic picking station where low quantity items are placed on the BreakPack Mini Bot for fulfillment, while residual inventory is toted and sent back into the storage system.

Smart Fulfillment

Small Quantities, Mixed SKUs

The BreakPack Mini Bot delivers inventory from pick stations to mixed SKU fulfillment totes with 99.9%+ accuracy. The robot chassis extends over the totes, preventing damage to previously fulfilled goods and maintaining an even level in the tote.

Smart Pallet Fulfillment

One System, Many Operational Advantages

Once all items for the order are added, totes are returned to the Symbotic ASRS where they await fulfillment. Native cases and totes are fulfilled together on Smart Pallets – creating operational efficiencies downstream and minimizing delivery runs.
