What we need

As the Compensation Business Partner you will be responsible for providing a wide variety of business-focused compensation guidance and expertise partnering closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with Total Rewards leadership to support the design, development, implementation, and ongoing management of the company’s compensation philosophy, programs, and policies.  This position reports to the Director, Compensation. 

What we do

The Compensation Team is part of the Human Resources organization and is responsible for managing how employees are rewarded for their work. This includes developing and administering pay structures, incentive programs, bonuses, benefits, and other financial rewards.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as consultant to HR Business Partners and Management with respect to all compensation matters including but not limited to salary management, compensation philosophy, job evaluations, programs, policies, and re-organizations to help support the business’ strategic objectives.

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses using market data; provide technical expertise and proactive guidance to maintain competitiveness

  • Analyze compensation trends, pay equity, and internal parity to inform compensation decisions and support compliance.

  • Partner with talent acquisition and HRBPs to review compensation for new hires, promotions, and transfers, ensuring offers and decisions are competitive and aligned with structure. 

  • Lead and support cyclical compensation processes including annual merit reviews, bonus planning, and promotion cycles. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of compensation programs.

  • Drive standardization and documentation of compensation practices and policies.

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of our job architecture, compensation ranges, and leveling framework to ensure consistency and transparency across functions. 

  • Lead the process for standardization and documentation.  Maintain compensation-related data in HR systems (e.g., Workday) and ensure accuracy across job profiles and pay ranges. 

  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards and models that provide actionable insights to HR and business leaders. 

  • Leverage data to inform strategic decisions and measure program effectiveness.

 What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or a related HR or finance role—ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth company. 

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data sets, assess validity, draw conclusions and make recommendations in a clear and concise manner

  • Exposure to global compensation practices or international market data. 

  • Strong project management skills to drive effective planning, execution, and delivering projects on time and within scope.  

  • Familiarity with compensation tools and applications (e.g., Radford, Mercer, Payfactors, CompAnalyst) and HRIS platforms (Workday preferred). 

  • Ability to navigate change effectively while being mindful of technology and business processes implications

  • Great communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach. 

  • Ability to influence client decision-making through the use of compelling data and analyses

  • Hybrid schedule (minimum 3 days per week in office) based in Wilmington, MA office 

Our Environment

  • Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. 

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
